H.A. #123- Hop, Hope

I made this one for my mother. I think she will probably be a theme for me over the next few months. I have never watched someone go thru chemotherapy and radiation. I am looking ahead to her getting thru this without too much trouble, I hope. So, I guess, along with her, I hop towards hope. (And this card is not that damn pink everyone uses for breast cancer!)

H.A. #122- Think Again

Reality takes a vacation .
Think again & come up with a new way of thinking.......
Why does it feel like Monday again?

H.A. #121- Odd and a little bit scary

I got this postcard in the mail- an advertisement- that had a piece if artwork made up of Mao Tse Tung-s. So, I rifled it. I cut out several. This one lost his head & hand & had them replaced. It is sort of spooky, oui?

H.A. #120- Vanity's Valentine

I like this one! It all started with a postcard, a silly poem & some embellishmetns from some earrings I took apart. Cool!

H.A. #119- I Love who?

I really like this card. I don't know why. The woman came without the top of her head, so no amputation required...And his look, well, its Valentines week but you don't have to be happy about it!!!!

H.A. #118- I Love You Mao!

Okay, Start with someone watching "Monk" and then "Psyche", cutting up bits of paper & throwing them together to make today's card--a bit distracted & a bit, well, wierd-- and you get a scary Valentine with all the charm of a stalker. Lovely. Better luck next time!

H.A. #117- Adore

Blue Hearts, a pie, cake & a classic goddess- what more could you want from a Valentine? It's wierd & I need 9 of them, but this is a fun challenge!

H.A. #116- So Many Hearts...

I just loved this picture of these girls in their hockey team outfits. Again with the swap challenge, I used unusual colors for Valentine's Day. It says' "So many hearts, so little time!"

H.A. #115- Valentine at the Zoo

" If the moon was at the zoo, I'd go there & get it for you, my Valentine!" The phonebook ad is for our local zoo. The key, which is attached with a wing-thing, has a lion on it and the old, vintage jam label with my bad poem is one which is advertising that the jam was made with C & H sugar-- so the valentine is sweet as well, even without hearts! More of this swap challenge.

H.A. #114- A Fortune for My Sweetheart

This is for a series of Valentines for a swap where we are asked to use colors that are not ordinarily used at Valentine's Day. It has a real fortune in the heart.

H.A. #113- Alice's Advice

I love this quote & felt like I would like to do a series of "guardian angels" for my mother during her chemotherapy & radiation. I think I will continue.

H.A. #112- Anais Nin quote

This one is for my mother who I think of each time I see this quote.

H.A. #111- Fairie in South Garden

I imagine that while the earth is a sleep in winter in this hemisphere, the fairies in the southern Hemishere are busy gathering greens, dancing, playing & admiring themselves in pools of clear cool water. Nice to think of it being like that somewhere just now while I type this in a pair of leggings, heavy skirt, top, sweater & waterproof shoes.

H.A. #110- Urgent Rehearsal

For what are we rehearsing? Live Now, right?

H.A. #109- Newest IPOD?

This one was fun to do. Obviosly the idea came from all the hype over this new I phone or whatever it is called. I still want them to come up with one you can keep anywhere & freak your friends out when you answer your waist band or your shoe or under you nailpolis on you left index finger or your belly button ring or.......

H.A. #108- Fish for dinner!

Okay, so it makes nearly no sense what I have put as a title but I am in a wierd mood! And I am 6 days behind postings again....

H.A. #107- Elegant as the Stars

Lovely!

H.A. #106- Wierd end to the Holidays

The only thing which came from a xmas card was the word "Season's". Over that (supposed to be under, but I missed) it says "mood meter". I think you can figure the rest out. It is not my best, but it sums up the season for me this year (as well as my family since my mother is ill, as I stated before, & will undergo chemotherapy soon. I am sad.

H.A. #105- Quit complaining!

Again, this penguin came off a Xmas card & will go to the swap. It s still cold here, only a few flakes & a white sky. At least its not raining. That will come, as it does to the NW, soon enough...

H.A. #104- Happiness

I saw this quote on a plaque the other day & I had to use it on something, "Happiness is the fine & gentle rain that penetrates the soul.
--Maurice du Guerin

H.A. #103-The Greenman's teenage Grandson.

Its an unfortunate part of having a family that sometimes, the children procreate. too. Then, you get a generation who might not hold with all our old ways & traditions. I mean, that haircut?! Made, again from a xmas card, I like the way this one turned out. I hope the others get it.

H.A. #102-The Queen dressed weird!

Okay, for 12th night, or to commemorate 12th night, the Queen dressed as a snowman. Again using parts of a Xmas card, I made her into a snowman. I am not that happy with it, but, hey, its a swap piece & I am doing what I've been told. I will be keeping up with my posts more in the weeks to come.

H.A. #101- Dazzle!

As you dance, be sure to dazzle! Another one made for a swap with Xmas card bits...

H.A. #100- Love to make life better!

This was made as part of a swap. It actually used metallic xmas balls off a christmas tree & a heart off another card which I stamped with "love".
I like diagrams & I think is is an excellent way, in this day of left-brain thinking, to get your point across.

H.A. #99- Queen of Xmas Boots

For 1/9/07: I did this one, among others, for a challenge (6 for 5) where you use old bits of Christmas cards. Well, I didn't send any this year & so got very few to work with. So, a good card from the scant pickings is a good card. They must go soon so I better hurry usp and like 6!

H.A. #98 - Wierd Trip

For 1/8/07: I found this guy in a magazine that was geared for a younger audience than I usually read (my 18-year-old son) and I loved him. So he is now immortalized upon a card- little does he know...

H.A. #97- Learn to love all kinds

For 1/07/07: This was a new technique. I am behind documenting my cards because of several things, but you will have to trust me that my committment to making one each day stands. Ifind that I can't fake it. I can begin an idea on a day prior, but complete it the following day and it looks so different because my moods change, the colors I want to use might change, or I will find a technique in a book & change everything.

H.A. #96- Thinking Wings

I have been thinbking wings alot lately. In fact, I did a couple of pieces with wings, just like I have done a couple with cats. I like series more than I thought I would. It is good to work out themes. It works through an idea. Although, I have to say, I don't go very far before I come up with a new idea. Such is the nature of the beast!- ME!

H.A. #95- Family Album

At first this one seemed to have no unity. I left it alone & it showed up the next day. Fancy that!

H.A. #94- Let's hand it to New Years's Day!

Okay, its lame, but I used some old giftwrap tissue from a present & a leftover mini ornament. I could not think of anything else to do but add the hand stamp with palmistry lines. And, I was out of ideas not because I had a hangover, but because, I guess, I don't know what to expect in 2007 given that 2006 ended so weirdly for me personally. More will be revealed.....

H.A. #93- Go Play!

I like the style this girl has with her umbrella. She's posed long enough, though. " don't just sit there, Go Play!" is what it says. Good idea. Happy New Year!

H.A. #92- Create Beauty

A nice sentiment for the time being. I think we should all strive for just this alone & things would get a whole lot better in the wirld.

H.A. #91- Writing

Lovely- You must look closely to see all the details. She's cooking up something mysterious, I believe.

H.A. #90- Breath

I made this one December 28th but forgot to download it. I want to say, I really like the next few. I think I am improving.
